Hess & Sandeen Plastic Surgery

Dr. Lee performed reconstructive surgery on me almost six weeks ago. From the moment surgery was over there has never been any pain. The incision site has healed beautifully. She is highly professional, easily approachable, never in a rush, and addresses any and all of your concerns. A wonderful surgeon and a wonderful person.

Let me just say that Dr Sandeen is one of the nicest Doctor I have ever met. I had an upper eye lid lift and I love the results! My recovery after that was so good. I never had any pain, just some bruising. The best bedside manner ever! More docs should take lessons from him! He is a busy busy man, but he makes you feel as if you were his only patient. best all around!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Elizabeth Lee at this office. I immediately felt comfortable with her. Her professionalism yet laid back personality did it for me. She made me feel beautiful and like I actually mattered, not like a paycheck which many Drs do. I highly recommend going to see her if you're looking to have anything done! She did a fantastic job on my tummy tuck! I feel amazing and she never felt like s a bother when I have gone in for follow up appointments. Thank you Dr Lee for your caring and your kindness!

Dr. Hess replaced two joints in my fingers 10 weeks ago. I have had osteoarthritis since I was 39 and my fingers over the years have become bent and extremely painful. Another doctor said all he could do is fuse them but when I checked with Dr. Hess, he said he could replace the joints with silicone joints. I am so glad to say that the pain is gone in those fingers.

They are still stiff but after 10 weeks of physical therapy, I have full use of my fingers and am ready to sign up for two more fingers on my other hand. Dr. Hess has been amazing through this entire procedure. I didn't even know this was possible and am so glad that I continued looking and asking questions.

Dr. Sandeen is the best! I did research with other Dr.'s for the bilateral brachioplasty. He was the best bedside manner. He was confident without being cocky. He informed me of all the risks. He listened to and answered all of my questions until I felt comfortable. His office was incredibly responsive with any post surgery concerns that I had. I would choose him for any other procedures in the future. Plus - I mean the results are amazing.

I could not be happier with my experience with Hess and Sandeen! I had breast augmentation done by Dr. Sandeen and am I absolutely thrilled with the results! I really felt like he and his team really went above and beyond working with me and making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. HIGHLY recommend!

I initially went to Dr. Hess after a referral from my primary care. After losing a very significant amount of weight I needed a number of procedures. I had consultations with numerous surgeons and finally settled on Dr. Hess because he took the time to answer all my questions, treated me like a peer and because unlike the other surgeons he did not try to up sell me into additional procedures I wasn't ready to discuss.

After my first surgery I was in total amazement. He gave me a body I had never had in my entire life. I underwent my second surgery 6 months after the first and again was blown away with the results. I am currently scheduled for my third and final surgery and I am 100% confident the results will be as life changing as the first two. Dr. Hess helped to give me my life back and I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Sandeen is wonderful! He removed a fatty cyst on my forehead and was so professional, caring, and skilled at his craft. I would recommend him to family & friends. If I need any future plastic surgery I would like him to do the work.

I unfortunately had to meet Dr. Hess under less than ideal circumstances, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was due to have tissue expanders placed and followed up with implants once the time was right. Throughout my visits with Dr. Hess and his staff, they were nothing but beyond professional. Every single person in this office exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of.

From appointments, to billing, to schedules, to surgery day; it was all done with ease. My situation was complex enough and for this process to be near seamless, I was so appreciative.

Dr. Sandeen changed my life. I had large breasts since I was 13 years old and we all know what time and gravity does over time. Let's just say I finally got around to a breast lift in my late 40s and couldn't be happier. My breasts look 25 again! The surgery was easy, the recovery even easier, and the price was very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sandeen, his staff, and the nursing staff at the hospital. Dr. Sandeen is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. He is detail oriented, wonderful bed side manner and a great personality. I had healing issues after my mastectomy and he saw me weekly for several months. I was able to email with questions and get quick responses. His office staff is A+ with customer service. Their office runs like clock work. Dr. Sandeen is a gifted surgeon who knows what needs to be done when issues arise. I am extremely happy with the results of my reconstruction and actually think I look better after my mastectomy than before.

I am a breast cancer survivor. I had been through chemo and a double mastectomy. I sadly had worked with another plastic surgeon in town and my expander got infected. My original plastic surgeon had no sense of urgency and no care. I had to constantly follow up. The treatment of this surgeon pushed for my decision to find a new doctor. I asked many people at the cancer center and hospital and everyone kept sharing the name of Richard Hess. Folks it was a night and day experience.

I had interviewed various plastic surgeons but immediately walking into Dr. Hesses office the difference in care was amazing. Dr. Hess is down to earth and caring. The office staff was kind and oh my goodness wait until you meet Yeezenia. Yeezenia, worked so hard to make sure my surgery could happen. She made sure I was informed. If I had a concern they moved the schedule around to make sure I was seen in a timely manner.

Cancer is already hard and the last thing you need is a plastic surgeon who does not care. Thank you Hess team for helping me feel normal and healthy again and I will be back next year for reconstruction. I hope this review helps other survivors find their way to you. God Bless you.

I'd like to recommend Dr. Richard Hess, an incredible plastic surgeon who operated on my hands three times over the last eight years in Tucson. I was referred to him by a friend whose wife had suffered breast cancer. I was surprised that a plastic surgeon did hand surgery, but I learned that this was common. His operations on me were all very successful.

I didn't know how good a doctor he was until I went to the recommended physical therapy after my surgeries. One therapist that I worked with said, "You are very lucky. He's the best hand surgeon in Tucson." The other agreed and added, "Yeah, he ends up fixing lots of other doctors' surgeries. Many times patients have to re-do this (surgery), and are so glad they got him." One of the surgeries on my thumb was pretty complex.

He modestly told me that he worked with the innovator of this procedure, and that it more successful than other methods. Dr. Hess' personality (and his staff's) is very friendly and kind, putting people at ease.

Very unsatisfied with my breast lift and augmentation. My breast shape is pretty much the same as before just a little higher and now smaller. I asked for fuller and bigger. They are neither and now I have scarring and no feeling in my breasts. I'm very embarrassed by the look of my breast. Every time I asked about the size Dr Hess seemed to get offended and made me feel uncomfortable for even asking.

I absolutely love Dr. Hess! I had 3 different consults by 3 different doctors. He by far made an impression on me. Not only did he do an amazing job on me, his personally and bedside manner put you right at ease! I had a tummy tuck, breast lift, and breast augmentation. I look incredible and feel incredible. You will not regret choosing him as your surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and is very skilled at what he does. I can't say enough about Him.

I was referred here as I had some basal skin cancer that needed to be removed near my hairline. Since it involved my face, my dermatologist referred me to Dr. Sandeen out of caution. I had a consultation, the removal, and a post-removal follow up. Everything healed great! I was pregnant at the time and they made sure to use a safe numbing solution.

I am 10-months post-removal and you can't tell where I had the skin cancer removed. My uncle had skin cancer removed from the base of his ear and you can't tell either. The scar is so small. The doctors here know what they are doing and are well-trained. Thank you again!

I have been seen by Dr. Hess for carpal tunnel surgery, for a thumb surgery, and for an accidental partial finger loss. Each time I have seen him, both he and his staff made appointments enjoyable (he has a very easy going manner), clear, expedient, and professional. I followed up with hand physical therapy and there, I was told he was the best hand surgeon in Tucson! I am very happy he was my doctor and continue to find other satisfied patients of his in my everyday life.

His service and professionalism was consistent at every visit - at every follow-up trip I was treated with the same high quality care and was put at ease regardless of the procedure. Dr. Hess is an excellent surgeon! Previously had a mastectomy and reconstruction by a different surgeon! Dr. Hess did a fabulous reconstruction redo!

Dr. Sandeen's surgical abilities are simply amazing. I have had multiple skin cancer excisions; many on my face. Quite a few of these procedures were quite extensive in size, as well. To this day, I would challenge anyone to find the scars left from said procedures. In the end, he is simply "magical" in his work. I am truly grateful to have found such a talented surgeon.

Dr. Hess agreed at the last minute to do my breast reconstruction immediately following my mastectomy, as the initial plastic surgeon was not approved by my insurance. He was extremely professional but also kind and considerate - especially considering the circumstances. I am currently 6 weeks post-surgery and doing very well. Am considering returning to him in a couple of months for a lift in the opposing breast and trust that he would do an excellent job at that as well. I could not be more satisfied. His staff is also very professional and gracious.

Dr Sandeen did my breast augmentation in early June. He has been nothing but amazing along with his staff!
