I do not recommend Dr. Ben Hugo or his practice. The practice is run inefficiently with one side of the office competing with the other for patient rooms, sending out confusing text messages and receiving phone calls about conflicting appointment times and generally poor management. Examples are: having me leave the room so the aesthetician could use it, scheduling a carpet cleaning company to come during regular business hours thereby blocking the exit that is used for post op patients (can't use a wheelchair causing the patient to have to navigate curbs, grass and other cars while still partially sedated.) The anesthesia used was ineffective.
I spent an hour in tears asking for more medication and being told to hold still or "I might make an error". More meds would have worked! What they did give me were 5 pills: 1 pill to calm the nerves and 4 opioid pills for pain. Patient anesthesia should be catered for that specific patient; it was the most traumatic experience of my life. Bottom line: while I believe Dr Hugo to be a competent physician, there were just too many issues with practice management and adequate pain control during the procedure.

Unfortunately, I was given inadequate pain control for a recent procedure. When I couldn't stop crying because of the pain, I was told I had been given enough. Really? Dr. Hugo said I should sleep through the procedure. I promise that wasn't the case. Awake and in pain and my concerns were brushed aside so they could finish their half day Friday

Very Tramatic Experience, unfavorable unwelcomed behavior. This M.D. was NOT Honest with me about a Traumatic Situation that happened during A Procedure. The Dishonesty was the Deal Breaker for me. I hope this Doctor's Dishonest bedside Manner has NOT Continued, to say the least. Honesty, is Critical when putting your life in a Doctor's hands.

I've been seeing Dr. Hugo for a number of years. He is very honest, intelligent and professional. His Botox technique is by far the best I've ever had. Friends, family and strangers always ask me my secret. I send them straight to Dr. Hugo. His staff is friendly and professional as well. Don't go anywhere else!

Dr. Hugo spent a great deal of time explaining the procedure as well as the expected results. His stellar reputation, calm demeanor, and honesty were a welcome change from my consultations with other cosmetic surgeons. I can't speak highly enough about my experience. Dr. Hugo is the absolute King of Botox! I've been elsewhere for Botox treatments and never realized how much different injectors and different treatments can affect your outcomes until I saw a photo of me with my husband at an event. I couldn't figure out why I looked manish until I realized I'd had Botox somewhere other than with Dr. Hugo! Seriously, you really want to trust the person who is treating you and know they understand why you need injections in specific spots on your face. Dr. Hugo is fantastic and I've been getting Botox for over 10 years but from now on only Dr. H will touch my face!

Wonderful. Very honest man. I'm in my late 20s and was in a very vulnerable state in my life when I was considering plastic surgery. I went to several other surgeons who tried to convince me to buy all kinds of expensive procedures but when I went to Dr. Hugo, he did the exact opposite. He actually talked me out of having surgery. This is plastic surgery - a profit-driven industry for vulnerable women - surgeons have a lot of opportunity to make a lot of money on you.
Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Hugo first, he'll tell you all your options instead of just the option with the highest profit margin. He told me to come see him in 10 years, and I will!
