Dr. Byrd has over 30 years of surgical experience and has treated thousands of lipedema patients. Lipedema is an under-diagnosed disease of the fat (adipose) cells. As the disease progresses, Lipedema deposits abnormal amounts of fat in the lower half of the body producing "column-like" legs and/or fat cuffs around the ankle. Meanwhile, the torso remains disproportionately smaller.
In later stages of Lipedema, fat deposits may occur in the buttocks, torso and upper arms. Large stove-pipe shaped legs - Symmetric enlargement of both legs bilaterally between the hips and ankles.

Lipedema Insurance coverage for lipedema surgery has become more attainable recently. Prior to then, insurance was usually denied because it was considered a cosmetic procedure. Tenderness and nodularity of fat deposits in lipedema affected areas such as dimpled or orange peel texture. Negative Stemmer sign.

Love Dr Byrd and my results from juvederm for wrinkles around my mouth. They are barely visible and I have some plumpness as well in my lips. She also did some Botox around my eyes and forehead. I am very pleased with my results! Also the staff was great! I'll be back for sure! Thank you Dr Byrd and staff!

Marcia Byrd is NOT a plastic surgeon and she and her staff are completely underqualified to do many of the procedures they offer. She jumps on the bandwagon of every new procedure that comes down the pike, and offers them at a discount for a reason -- because many of them don't work, and she and her staff don't know what they are doing. I had an upper blepharoplasty and liposuction in her office a few years ago, and ended up having to threaten legal action and exposure by an investigative reporter to get a refund as her results were completely unsatisfactory.
The eyelid scars were in the totally wrong place (not the crease!) and completely visible. She even had her assistant Crystal (who was also her significant other) performing procedures on patients -- and Crystal is not a licensed anything, to my knowledge. She kept coming in and out of the exam room when Dr Byrd was with me, asking constant questions about how to do what she was supposed to be doing. NOT a good sign. Steer clear is my advi ce.

I've had 3 surgeries with Dr. Byrd to treat my lipedema. I have one surgery left to go. I have found her to be caring, responsible and available to her patients. After surgery with Dr. Byrd, I have seen an increase in mobility and increased physical capabilities. Undergoing a treatment plan with the lipedema liposuction center is an investment in a better life and one I would gladly choose again.

Dr. Byrd and her team of professionals are the best in town! Her knowledge of aesthetics is unmatched and her artistic approach is superb. I won't go anywhere else. Thus far I have only visited Dr. Byrd for injectables but, I am considering other procedures. My satisfaction is 100%. If I lived on the other side of town I would still travel to Roswell, GA to visit Byrd Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Center.

Dr. Byrd and her team are amazing! My mom recently had surgery in her facility for Lipedema. Dr. Byrd went above and beyond to help my mother. We traveled 12 hours to have this surgery preformed and Dr. Byrd was able to help my mom and was top notch. You don't find many doctors these days that will give you their cell phone number and meet with you on a holiday weekend to look things over so you can go home early. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Byrd and her staff are just wonderful. I've had more than one procedure done with Dr. Byrd. With each procedure, I have always experienced kind and professionalism from the start. She has a keen eye and is able to identify specifically what needs to be done, and gives great recommendations. I definitely give the staff and Dr. Byrd an A plus.

I've been to Dr. Byrd for a few different procedures over the years. I have found her to be very kind and has a gentle manner at all of my consultations. She really is an artist in her field, I know that her precision is what has given me such great results. Its a great comfort knowing I am in such good hands here.

Dr. Byrd is wonderful! I went in for Aqualipo 3 months ago and couldnt be happier with the results. I went down 3 pant sizes and a shirt size. Dr. Byrd and her staff are very friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in there. I HIGHLY recommend her, you will not be disappointed! She truly takes her time with you, and you never feel rushed. She is very kind and concerned. She will even give you her cell phone number, which is unheard of! Love love love the office staff and Dr. Byrd!

I've had work done by Abby and Dr. Byrd. Both are very friendly and no complications. I go to Abby for microdermabrasions and chemical peels. I'm hoping by the time I finish my series that my hyperpigmentation is gone. So far, it has reduced by 80%. Unfortunately, I live 40 mins away so I can't go as often as I want.

I have very sensitive skin and have had some bad experiences in the past with facials and skin products. My hairstylist in Florida told me that she had the same problem and that she occasionally gets microdermabrasion done to combat aging and keep her skin looking fresh. I had always thought of microdermabrasion as a harsh procedure, but she convinced me that it could be otherwise.
After moving to Georgia I looked into microdermabrasion and chose to go with Byrd Aesthetic - I read several good online reviews and they were offering a special for new clients. I admit that I was very nervous and hesitant to get the microdermabrasion done. The aesthetician, Abby, really took the time to understand my skin, my skin care regimen, and what has worked and not worked in the past.
She explained each step before doing it so I knew exactly what to expect. I was really surprised at how painless the process was and how soft my skin was afterward. I have had two treatments now and had no down time afterward - not even any redness at all - as a matter of fact I went out shopping afterward! I really believe that this is a testament to Abby's skills and understanding of my skin.
She offered me tips on products to try without being pushy about selling in-house product lines. When I went to the dermatologist recently he said that I have skin that people would kill for - I really believe that this is in part due to my recent treatments with Abby. All of the workers are very nice and accommodating. I didn't feel awkward walking in like I'm ashamed about the procedure I'm about to take on. Everybody is super nice! The place is very nicely decorated and feels very homey. I trust these people and the advice they gave me. I got breast implants and I love the way they look. They are very honest and upfront about the pricing and procedures.
I did quite a bit of research and sometimes I am skepetical that cheap procedures means that the quality also sucks, but this is not the case with this place. The price is reasonable, the people are great and very relate-able, and I love the way I look!
