Abdominoplasty, frequently referred to as tummy tuck, is a procedure designed to remove excess abdominal skin, tighten the muscles of the abdomen and improve the abdominal profile. This procedure is often done following liposuction performed to remove excess fat, after the skin has naturally maximally tightened.
Brachioplasty, commonly referred to as arm lift, is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to remove excessive skin and fat of the upper arm. The combined effects of extreme weight loss, aging and/or loss of skin elasticity all contribute to redundant skin that does not contract with diet or exercise.

Dr. Hand, Lisa and their entire team are hands down the greatest. Dr. Hand is realistic and honest when it comes to explaining results and techniques used to achieve those results. He is honest about what to expect from start to finish and gives you the best recommendations for the most natural results. I've referred clients to him without a single doubt in my mind and they've all been extremely happy with their results as well. From implants to Botox, Dr. Hand is the absolute best. Greetings: I have know Dr. Terri Hand and his wife Lisa since 1995. He was recommended to me by my boss, an Top Cornell University surgical ophthalmologist and the smartest man I know. I used Dr Hand and his extraordinary wife Lisa's services on multiple occasions over the years including this past week. I do not take lightly recommending someone for I know it is a reflection on myself and my standards. Hands-down, their office ( with a state of the art in- house surgery center ) offers the highest service available.
Many other offices require you to have your procedure performed in a nearby hospital which means more paperwork, time etc. Now, there a many other excellent board-certified plastic surgeons in the county, but with Dr. Hand and Lisa you will be afforded an experience that goes above and beyond what one would expect. They are thorough and conscientious and offer follow up care, maintenance and attention to all details. What's more going into their office is like seeing a great friend in that you are immediately put at ease, made to feel comfortable and you know you have made the right decision choosing them amid the myriad of offerings in Marin County.

Love this place! Had sun spots in the worst of places.nose and chest.the size of a dime. Originally went to dermatologist to have frozen off, which hurt a lot and didnt work. Dr. Hand explained how freezing could leave me with permanent white discoloration and how laser does the job enough to sluff the discoloration but not damage the skin. He took his lazer and in about 5 minutes and a lil prep, took care of both spots.no pain and Zero discomfort after! I was in and out and on my way. Already the sports are brown and will sluff off in a couple days. Staff was so sweet and reassuring. Will be my go to for spots from now on.

I visited Dr. Hand for a procedure this year, and would definitely (and have already) recommend him to others. I visited a few other offices before landing in Dr. Hand's office, and I wasn't impressed. Not much time spent with the doctor, and forced to sit in a room with a woman who tried to talk me into procedures I didn't want. Not good. I finally got in touch with Dr.
Hand at a friend's recommendation, and I'm super glad I did. Dr. Hand was very attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Plus I'm super squeamish and he was very patient with me. The procedure went smoothly, and the nursing and front desk staff were very helpful and caring through the whole process, even giving me Dr. Hand's personal contact info in case I needed him during off-hours.
Hand at a friend's recommendation, and I'm super glad I did. Dr. Hand was very attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Plus I'm super squeamish and he was very patient with me. Very disappointing, I am very unhappy with results! Would definitely advise against using this doc for anything else but possibly small "procedures",n ot any surgeries. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty (eye lids) done about 3 months ago now. One eye was botched. I had repeated many many times to the doctor that "less is more" for me! Still, this one eye ended up with chemosis and ptosis and in general a very assymetric look.
This whole time the doctor would not take any responsibility but just kept saying that " my body was doing strange things, and to wait it out."(if my body was to blame both eyes would be affected) This one eye has a very long surgical incision (completely different from other eye) and has now also a large raised and red scar. The more normal eye had a large cyst in the incision which the doctor attempted to remove (more bruising!), but failed.
The cyst still there. My eyesight is severely affected and I will have to get new eye glasses. I had been told that I would be able to go back to work in no more than 2 weeks. Not true, because I could not see very well. I lost more than a month of work and still to this day I am having difficulty. I will have to go somewhere else to have scar revision and more. Go to someone else!

How long has it been since I saw Dr. Hand for work on my eyelids. maybe thirty years now? Yeah, probably about 1985-86. He did a great job with me, and even this many years later, I can still say so. Nothing but compliments for Terry Hand! Happy to see he is still practicing, now more experienced than ever. Thumbs up!

I saw Dr. Hand for the first time over 20 years ago when he fixed a botched job that was done by a very well known derm here in Marin. I just recently saw him again to adjust my sagging eyelids. He did a fantastic job. I'm in front of the public everyday in my job and to a person, I have received nothing but glowing compliments. The before and after care is remarkable.
He discusses very detail, from pre-operative prep to what will happen during the procedure to how he will care for you afterwards. His bed side manner is reassuring so you go in knowing that you will be taken care of. I highly recommend him.

In November of 2012 I wrecked my bicycle and suffered major facial trauma. For several days I couldn't see but immediately was reassured by Dr. Hand's voice and manner- I knew immediately in the ER that he would take great care of me and he continues to do so. My injuries were so severe that after the accident I had to consider the possibility that I would never look or feel like the same person.
At some point early on in my recovery Dr. Hand showed me a picture of a young woman and then told me that he had fixed her face after she had been mauled by a dog, but I would have never believed that she had sustained anything like that- she was beautiful! Dr. Hand did such an amazing job reconstructing my face that in fact, two years later I meet many people who knew me before the accident and have no idea that anything has happened.
My scars are invisible. I actually look forward to my office visits where I am treated like family and continually reassured by Dr. Hand's medical talents as well as his optimism and belief in the body's ability to heal. I know that I am getting the very best care one could hope for, and I am grateful every day that Dr. Hand has given me my face back and kept my spirits up during the most traumatic event of my life. I have been a happy patient of Dr. Hand's for many years. He's performed several surgeries for me over the years, including eyes, a mini facelift, and lateral brow lift. I see him regularly for Restylane and Botox, and removal of pre-cancerous moles. In addition, he's treated me and members of my family for emergencies such as bike accidents and severe cuts. Dr.

Got breast implants in 1987. They were nothing but trouble for all three of us ladies who wanted more interesting figures, and two others girls had their implants out immediately, after we all experienced way too many capuslar contractures, terribly painful to pop, even with Demerol. Imagine trying to pop a baseball with your hands. 'Whoo, that didn't get it!' Dr.
Hand kee-eeps trying. 'Nope.' Didn't do it. Again, squee-eeze, with both hands. Nope. And again, And again. 'Aah, think I got it. You OK, Helen? Well, I bet you hardly felt it. You didn't, did you?' Naah, didn't feel a baseball being squeezed flat. No. Not at all. Fast forward to 2013. Let's see, 26 or so years later, and I'm looking at my reflection in the mirror, and I see that the left one has finally, finally dropped, and it looks a little bit normal, instead of popping up around my neck. Hallelujah!
My chest finally looks sort of normal, I email to Dr. Hand. No response. Have I mentioned that I always wear a vest or jacket or scarf, or something to cover up my chest because it looks so.malformed? No? Well, I do. Always. A drag in warmish weather. And they were supposed to be saline, but lo, and behold! It's 2014, and my mammogram shows something suspicious.
The supposedly saline implants are leaking--and my doctor tells me it's silicone! Put in 'by mistake.' 'By mistake' by Dr. Hand? Who's supposed to know this? The patient or the doctor? I trusted this doctor. And why/ or how would they be put in by mistake? This is no mistake at all. Reconstructive surgery is like $6K, and without it, you come out looking 'like a war zone, ' the doctor says, after the she has tried to pick out all the little pieces of what looks like yellowish crank-case oil.

A very compassionate, skilled and trustworthy doctor. He's helped me several times with sports related injuries requiring stitches, as well as reconstructive work after a car accident. When my mother decided to get herself a "tune-up" at 53, I recommended that she see Dr. Hand. Some of her friends had already had facelifts by other plastic surgeons and they looked scary and pulled too tight. It's not a good look.
She ended up having a full facelift and brow lift with Dr. Hand and he actually talked her out of having additional procedures her friends suggested (lots of fillers and injections) that he felt she didn't really need. Dr. Hand is a low-key, honest and caring person in addition to being an excellent surgeon. It's important to be able to trust that your doctor is really looking after you or someone you care about.
He wants his patients to look good and also look natural. His nurse and office staff have always been extremely helpful and overall it's the best experience you can hope for. Reasonably priced, excellent work with people who actually care--not just before the surgery, but during and long afterwards. We learned not to be fooled by "life-style" lift advertisements.
The results are poor and it's a lot of hype. Plastic surgery is still surgery. It's a big deal and you want to be with the best doctor possible and for us that is by far Dr. Terry Hand.

I was playing with my cat one day and surprised by a move I made too quickly, he kicked out, catching my eyelid with a claw and slitting it open. Thankfully the eye itself wasn't injured, but the eyelid was pouring blood and looked almost like an empty eye socket itself. Dr. Hand met me in the ER, despite the fact that I'd never seen him before, and sewed up the damage beautifully.
It healed perfectly and with a virtually invisible scar. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. I remember both he and his staff being very pleasant and easy to work with. I'd go back.

Dr. Hand treated my sprained wrist and was very pleasant to be around and comforting. He knew what he was talking about. The emergency room said I had a fracture and by careful examination he determined it was just a bad sprain. Weeks later the xrays confirmed this. Dr. Hand and his assistant Sherry were wonderfully helpful. This office is well run and the good people work here. My experience was excellent.

Terry Hand performed a bilateral brow lift, upper and lower eye lifts and cheek implants on me. I chose Dr. Hand because he had previously done work on two people I know, and I liked their results really well. He is skilled at achieving maximum results without leaving you looking "pulled" or unnatural. He also has a nice bedside manner.
