As one of the newer members to this long-tenured and established team, I manage the day-to day operations of the practice. More importantly, I'm here to make sure that our patients have a first class experience from their first phone call to their last postoperative visit, and beyond. In my free time, you can usually catch me in my kitchen aspiring to be a classically trained chef! I have been with the practice for over a decade and love interacting with our patients. My light-hearted gregarious nature will put you at ease!

Our office does not participate in any insurance plans but our insurance consultant can assist patients. Procedures such as rhinoplasty, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty may qualify for insurance coverage.
Dr. Hidalgo is a practicing artist and believes it to be vital for sharpening aesthetic vision. Art enhances my perception of nuances in shape and form. This is critical to achieving optimal results in surgery, whether it is a facelift, a breast reduction, or a rhinoplasty. There is no better method for training and refining your eye than to be continually engaged as a visual artist.
When he's not wielding a scalpel to mold skin, tissue and fat, plastic surgeon David Hidalgo expresses his creative instincts with another set of tools: graphite pencil and paperboard. Working from old and new photographs, Dr. Hidalgo makes meticulous drawings of the alterations that time makes on a face-his subjects have included his parents, his wife, himself, even his dog.

5th Breast surgery, incredible results! This was going to be my 5th breast surgery. I'm 65 with a history of silicone implant rupture. I knew that I needed a surgeon that not only had plan A but also had the depth of skill and experience to move to Plan B, C or D if necessary. After consulting with Dr. Hidalgo and discussing many options I knew that he was the right surgeon for me.
I trusted his skill and aesthetic judgement completely. He has an incredible eye for symmetry, proportioning, and breast to nipple ratio. His nipple placement is beautiful and natural. This is not surprising because he is also a very gifted artist and many of his beautiful works decorate the walls in his waiting room. Something that meant a lot to me was Dr. Hidalgo's past work with cancer patients needing reconstruction.
He was a former Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He is a kind and compassionate doctor! Dr. Hidalgo leads a wonderful team of surgical nurses, patient coordinators and front office managers. His staff took great care of me and they were always available to answer questions or help with logistics. I'm grateful to my surgical nurse Meghan Foster for her care and competence both during and post surgery.
At the time of writing I am 6 weeks post-op. My results are lovely, natural looking and beyond all my expectations! I have absolutely no regrets in choosing Dr. Hidalgo for my breast surgery and I have no hesitation in recommending him as a plastic surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Hidalgo and his practice was outstanding. Dr. Hidalgo is a an artist, and took such tremendous time and care to make sure my results were perfect. On top of the outstanding results, Dr. Hidalgo and his entire staff treated me with exceptional care and compassion. They eased my nerves pre-procedure, and both pre- and post-procedure took time to answer my every question and make sure I felt at ease and well cared for. My results are beyond what I dreamed of and I will forever be thankful to Dr. Hidalgo and his staff for their life changing care.

I unequivocally recommend Dr Hidalgo. My experience with him in December 2021 was impressive. Professionalism and kindness is present everywhere in his practice. Each interaction with his staff reaffirms your trust in him as a top plastic surgeon. The staff is well-informed, friendly, and on time, in addition to being extremely kind and helpful throughout the whole process.
There were several moments when it became evident that Dr Hidalgo was a serious doctor: One was when I went to get my pre-op exam with a doctor he recommends. My primary care physician was on vacation. I expected the doctor to perform the tests, but be a promoter of plastic surgery since he works with Dr Hidalgo. To my surprise, he praised Dr Hidalgo, but said that plastic surgery was surgery, and not risk free, and was clear about the risks and benefits of my procedure.
Imagine that! Second, I got COVID a few days after the procedure. I was not sick, but I tested positive and my husband was sick. I was very worried about removal of the sutures. Dr Hidalgo's office could not have been more kind and understanding. He arranged for me to come after hours to protect other patients, but took care of me. Deciding to do something that is so intrinsically associated with your self esteem is scary, but Dr Hidalgo and his team earned my trust. The results are exactly what I was looking for - a discrete improvement, with a very natural look.

Dr. Hidalgo has outstanding surgical skills and writes for Medical Journals but there is so much more that makes him the best plastic surgeon. Dr. Hidalgo is also an artist which allows him to use his artistic talents and discerning eye to enhance people's natural beauty, making his work look very natural. Not every doctor possesses all of these skills which truly makes a difference in the end result.
His team is professional and knowledgeable and they truly care for the patient throughout the entire pre and post-op period. I could not be happier with choosing Dr. Hidalgo as my surgeon and with the results of my procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Hidalgo enough and would not trust anyone else for my surgical needs.

My experience has been nothing less than wonderful. The staff has been extremely helpful through each step, and Dr. Hidalgo has been very informative and gave me a sense of comfort from the very first day I walked in the office through the actual surgery. I am thrilled with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Hidalgo.

I was very nervous to get my nose done but the second I walked into the office I felt very comfortable and cared for by everyone in the office. Dr. Hidalgo was very patient with me and understood the look I was going for without making me feel judged. He really took his time to perfect my breathing and my overall appearance. The swelling in my nose went away much faster than I thought and after two weeks I am already blown away with the changes.
If you are looking to change the shape of your nose but still feel like yourself, I highly recommend Dr. Hidalgo. He is very intelligent, an artist, and an expert at what he does. I am very thankful for his work and extremely happy with my experience. If I ever decide to get another procedure done I will without hesitation choose him to be my doctor.

I am thrilled with the results of my surgery. The experience with Dr. Hidalgo and the entire staff has been so supportive and informative from the very first appointment through prep and surgery and throughout recovery. Everyone has been accessible for questions and have done an amazing job guiding me through this process, really making it a very easy experience.

I started my journey looking for doctors located in the NYC area. After interviewing many physicians I decided to go with Dr. Hidalgo. I must say that was by far the best choice. I could not be happier with Dr. Hidalgo's ability as a surgeon and his bedside manner. I felt that he listened to my thoughts and concerns and I felt extremely comfortable with his expertise.

Everyone at Dr. Hidalgo's office is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and warm. They answered my questions patiently, and alleviated any concerns I had prior to my procedure. Afterward, they ensured we were equipped for my recovery and called to check in. I'm thrilled with the results and definitely look better, but more importantly I feel better.

Dr. Hidalgo is the most wonderful, talented, and caring doctor I have ever met! He is a true artist and his work is exceptional. As a result of his hard work, time, and dedication, I feel more confident about my body than ever. The procedure was seamless and the results are natural looking. The office is very welcoming and warm, and his staff cannot be beat! His office is filled with amazing professionals that now feel like part of my extended family. I am so happy and feel so lucky to have met him!
