I had interviewed several doctors and my decision to have Dr Berris MD provide my surgical procedures was by far my best possible choice. And thank you so very much to his staff. From first appointment for evaluation, staff getting authorization for upper eyelid surgery and forehead lift, and then to surgery, all staff were so helpful, courteous, and caring. Had my first ever Botox injection in my forehead done by Kim. I was a little nervous but she explained everything she was doing step by step. She had me make certain common facial expressions to help her determine the best placement. She explained that she didn't want me to lose the ability to make some facial expressions because they are a part of my personality. I really loved the result I got and it lasted about 5 months. Everyone in the front and back office is awesome too! Thanks for the great experience!

THERE IS NO REASON to go anywhere else. First of all, he's an 'eye' guy. He gets it. When I went to him I wanted upper and lower blepharoplasty. He suggested I wait on the uppers and just do the lowers, citing 'good tone' on the uppers. So I waited. Two years later I got the uppers done. The point is, this man cares. The price was reasonable and I knew I was in excellent hands.
I referred a gal to him and she went to him, and she was so happy with her eyes she took me out for a fancy dessert. You can't beat that. Thank you, Dr. Berris: you're one of the good ones. Babz

I have had nothing but dissatisfaction with this office. I have severe twitching in my eyes that impacts my ability to drive. I was happy with my care provider but had to change due to insurance. It took 2 months to actually see Dr Berris but he and his staff were so focused on getting records from my last physician it delayed my care another month.
I finally had an appointment for neurotoxin and I got a call from front desk Shelly the day before that they didn't have an RN available for my service. What kind of an office is this? If you're a board certified md you assess your patient and create a plan. What my last doctor did should be irrelevant. The front desk woman Shelly constantly gives me the run around leading up to just simply never calling me back.
Her mini mouse pitched, condescending voice adds insult to injury. I'll be finding a respectable practice who actually empathizes with their patients ailments. Shame on you!

My husband had a double eyelid done here. We were very nervous and asked many times if he was familiar with doing double eyelids on Asian eyes as he just needed something very subtle to remove his hooded eyelids. Dr. Berris assured us yes abs I even provided a photo of how we want it. He just ignored my photo when I showed him. After surgery one of my husband eye is uneven.
One eye had more skins taken off so one eye have a Suprise look and the other eye was perfect. When we talked to him about it he said it just needs to settle. He made it worst by injecting steroids to the bigger eye causing a scar tissue. He says that was going to help. I don't know how he cannot tell he cut more skin off. If you look at the eyelids closed you can clearly see the cut line is higher on one eye. We didn't want him to do more damage so never went back to him. Right now we are looking for a revision doctor.

Dr. Berries is so patient and explains everything to me very clearly and listens to my problems answering any and all questions. Very knowledgeable and professional, and respectful. I truly appreciate Dr. Berries and his entire staff treat me so kindly every time I go to an appointment. I highly recommend him to anyone at any age. I had droopy eyelids and Dr. Berris did an amazing job of making them look young again. The procedure was painless and I recovered within a few days with minimal swelling and no discomfort. I have also received many positive comments from my family and friends about how young my eyes look now. Thank you Dr. Berris.

I went in to Dr. Berris for a consultation for Cosmetic surgery. He said if I really wanted it he would do it but recommended a little Botox as an easy fix instead. Now that is an honest and ethical Dr.! I followed his advice and both nurses who provide these services are great at it. This office's friendly staff keeps me coming back.

Please don't do what I did; I wasted $50 on a consultation and really should have read these reviews beforehand. When I initially called, the receptionist was rude and condescending. Not a good first impression and should have been my first red flag. They had a cancellation so I took the appointment thinking that maybe the doctor would be a bit friendlier.
When I arrived I was greeted by a different receptionist, somewhat nicer but not at all what I would expect from this type of office. I'm escorted to a room to wait but after 25 minutes, I go out to ask how far behind he is (staff should have told me there would be a wait). Pam, who was the ONLY professional person in the office apologized and said it shouldn't be much longer.
About 5 minutes later Dr. Berris walks in, clearly annoyed, and this is when I decided NO WAY. His staff is lacking because he is lacking. If you want a decent doctor, do your research and find another. These doctors are a dime a dozen.

This review is several years late but better late than never. I consulted with Dr. Berris about a growth in my enucleated left eye socket. The insurance company said the procedure he would do to remove it was cosmetic in nature and denied coverage. He appealed it and was able to get the procedure paid for. He and everyone in his office were really friendly and professional.
The person I had the most contact with during the whole experience was Marilyn, or maybe her name was Suzy. She made the whole process as easy and smooth as possible. Without Dr. Berris' compassionate efforts to help me I would have been faced with a major financial hardship for a fairly minor procedure that I couldn't opt not to have done. I highly recommend this group!

I went to Dr Berris to see if there was anything he could do about a less than perfect upper eyelid lift I had done years ago. He not only examined my eyes thoroughly he actually measured the distance from my lid to my brow to make sure my lids were symmetrical. I found him to be professional and responsive to my concerns. He could have said we can correct your concerns with surgery but he didn't.
He was honest and told me that surgery wouldn't be the best option for my concerns. I respect the attention to detail. Bedside manner is not my main criteria in selecting a PS. I want someone who is competent and skilled at his profession. BTW I never give 5 stars.

Hello there everyone! I just wanted to write this review because when I get fantastic service I feel it essential and a crime to not share the information with fellow consumers. I had a facial, chemical peel with Jani at Dr. Berri's office in Sacramento. She is literally the sweetest and most knowledgeable aesthetician I've met with in a long time.
It literally felt like I was with my sister, and I had an overwhelming sense of comfort. I knew I was in wonderful hands. If you want great skin and a great aesthetician with a women who had the best personality ever go to Jani. I'm telling you she is fantastic and you will not regret it!

I tried to make an appointment today with Dr Berris because I have a sebaceous cyst that is getting bigger. He was referred from my optometrist and it was probably not going to be covered by my insurance. I asked for an approximate amount and they could not say which I understand. But they did not call me back, the person that I talked to made the appointment with me finally but was not nice and then they called back a couple of hours later and said I should not see him because they had no idea what it would cost or what it entailed and go back to Kaiser. I thought it was very rude and hurtful. He maybe the best Doctor ever but I was totally taken back and insulted. I thought Doctors were suppose to help people.

For years I wanted to have blepharoplasty done, but was hesitant. My optometrist recommended Dr. Berris and I could not have been more pleased. He and his staff were charming, delightful and incredibly professional. It's been 10 days since my procedure I am thrilled with the results. I wished I did it 15 years ago. I highly recommend him!

I love the people who work here and the procedures I've had done so far have gone well- for now. my only concern is that sometimes the staff is on calls in the reception area and you can hear private conversations concerning other patients. At times I feel my privacy has been exposed by the reception as well, with comments about how "good my procedure looks" in front of other patients.
I would prefer to not have that attention about a private matter exposed so blatantly. Other patients do not need to hear their opinions, nor do I. I don't think HIPPA is being practiced well because of this. It would be better if they were more discreet with patients in person and also perhaps closed the window and door when they are on private calls. Other than this issue Dr. Berris is very professional and a skilled surgeon. I have also been impressed by cosmetic procedures I had done with Kelli.

I went to Dr. Berris on the recommendation of a friend who had both upper and lower blepharoplasty. I am over 1 year post procedure and have been very happy. No complications nor is it obvious that I had the procedure. If you want a doctor that is "warm and fuzzy" Dr. B may not be your cup of tea, but he has performed thousands of blephs and is definitely a skilled surgeon.
My experience with the office staff pre-and post-op was very positive. I also returned for Botox 3 times with Nancy and am very happy with the results and the staff has continued to be professional as well as friendly. I definitely would recommend Dr. Berris.

This review is for the Clinical Esthetician Jani. Over a year ago I purchased a Groupon for Obagi blue peel, not really understanding what it was or that you really need to prepare your skin for and that it takes about a month to fully heal. Jani explained this to me and I decided to go with a series of less invasive but very effective peels instead.
Even though I looked fantastic from her services, I decided to Groupon hop around for facials. Now I'm back with Jani and I'm never going anywhere else. I bought a series of four facials to use spaced out throughout the year. The first one was a Vitamin A and C peel. OMG, this peel makes my skin look so smooth that I haven't had to wear foundation (I'm 42 with pigmentation issues). Jani has over 30 years of experience and she knows skin.
If you're looking for a spa-like experience, look elsewhere. But if you want a very knowledgeable Esthetician that delivers the best facials for your skin type and concerns, see Jani.

I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty by Dr Berris in March 2015. I found Dr Berris to be very easy to talk to and was thrilled with the outcome. Dr Berris's staff are wonderful. The front office ladies are extremely helpful and friendly. Jani the esthetician is fantastic. I'm 66 and have always had skin problems. I've gone to estheticians since I was 15 years old. Jani has so improved my skin. It's simply amazing.
I use only 3 products. 2 x Cleansers and 1 Tretincin cream. So it's really easy to maintain. When she suggested them I thought "Oh no. It's going to be so expensive"! Well I got such a shock as they were extremely reasonably priced. Also if you purchase 4 facials at a time you get 50% off! There is not set timeframe to use them and Jani doesn't try and get you to come in every month. She recommends about every 6 or 7 weeks. I love Jani.

I purchased a Groupon for an Obagi peel. Big red flag there. Originally met with Jennifer for my pre treatment consult. Jennifer was pleasant and reviewed the expectations for the peel and the 4 week minimum pre treatment protocol. I was discouraged from doing an Obagi Blue Peel and instead doing a cheaper less intense peel Unfortunately Jennifer left her job there and I had to deal with Jani. Jani is quite full of herself.
Very pretentious. Quite unprofessional. Her eye rolling was out of control! Over a 4 week time period I was instructed to use a bleaching cream twice a week while my skin adjusted to the product, and work up to 7 days a week and twice a day. So over 4 weeks you are to go from 2x/week to 7x/week twice a day. Guess the products they sell you must not be that potent if your facial skin can adjust that quickly.
Even so, I pretreated well over 4 weeks (9 weeks!) and used the bleaching cream 7x/week and twice/day most of the past 5-6 weeks. So pretreatment was over the top. Jani just couldn't imagine doing an Obagi Blue Peel if I hadn't used the bleaching cream 14x/week the entire 9 weeks (even though over 4 weeks I was to get up to that point of 14x/week and would then be prepared for the peel).
I told her I could come back in 2 more weeks and use the product the 14x/week for 2 more weeks since she didn't feel my skin was ready. She then said that it wouldn't make any difference to wait and pretreat longer! Meanwhile she kept offering to do a lesser peel (that costs the same price as I paid for the Groupon). Then with more EYE ROLLING, she was appalled that I would use any cleanser besides Obagi.
She claimed the Retin A and bleaching creams just would not be very effective if I hadn't used Obagi's cleanser. What a joke. I have used Tretinoin and Retin A for years without ever using a $40+ face cleanser! I specifically asked her what ingredient(s) in my cleanser caused her concern, so much so that she couldn't bring herself to give me a peel.
She had NO IDEA what was in my cleanser (which by the way is far superior to Obagi in ingredients). She said Obagi gives your skin a certain pH and therefore it is the only thing to use when pretreating. haha. She also claims the Tretinoin and Obagi & private label bleaching creams sold at the office are only available by prescription. Yet I never saw the doctor there or a pharmacist to dispense, never got a prescription for any of these products, yet was sold them by someone with as little of credentials as an esthetician!
She kept huffing and puffing and eye rolling trying to convince me that she was not comfortable doing an Obagi Blue Peel on me, but was totally comfortable doing a glycolic peel formulation that she 'invented herself' and compounds the ingredients herself. She had me sign that she wasn't responsible for the peel if I decided to go forward with the Obagi blue peel I purchased and pretreated with.
Obviously she isn't skilled to do an Obagi blue peel and there was a much greater profit to 'trade down' the Groupon for a lesser peel that was no deal with a Groupon. I didn't want her ruining my face because she didn't know what she was doing, so I told her to go ahead with the peel I didn't purchase from Groupon. I did get a refund from Groupon!
It seems the majority of Sacramento businesses that I have dealt with through a Groupon purchase have been poor. Either bait and switch.like here. Poor customer service and condescending treatment.also like here and specifically by Jani. This business is a JOKE. Jani and all her plastic surgery is a JOKE. Ladies. RUN AWAY from here and from this Groupon. There is a reason this business is trying to get people in with a Groupon. Bait n switch. When customers are treated like dirt, we are not ever returning or recommending!

I'm not okay with that because I've done my own peels myself and my skin is pretty awesome because I don't touch American products.
For all you who don't know about Korean skincare, jump on it now. Anyway, the lady was rude and said, "you need to come in. Are you going to buy the Groupon or not?" She then said I need to get this call before I miss it and she put me on hold before I could say anything. She wouldn't answer my questions, and pretty much hung up on me. I definitely don't trust them with my face if this is how they treat people over the phone.
Pretty scary if you ask me. I pray for those who actually go to get treatments done here. I rather pass on a good deal on Groupon and pay a little more for awesome service and quality product. You have to ask yourself why companies use Groupon, probably because their business is failing, poor yelp reviews and they need to reel in customers. Beware.

I'm now dropping my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, here's why. I have received a few personal messages from Jani and her attack dogs for my very HONEST REVIEW. I had a horrible experience and I wasn't the only person to endure this. Hopefully, Jani will learn the error of her ways. P.S. After my review SUDDENLY 7 or 8 BRAND NEW YELP PROFILES popped up with 5 star reviews. Suspicious much?
