SK's office staff told me that Steve Kim's (SK) specialty was blepharoplasty. I got this procedure with him. It was the biggest regret. If I can change back time, I would never have gotten this with him. Medically and cosmetically. all wrong! His MEDICAL mistake : right after the procedure, I noticed my eye lids did not close all the way.

They told me that this was common and that it will get better as the swelling subsides. After a week of no improvement, they said to wait about a month. They said it can take several weeks to a month and everyone heals differently. One staff said to go see an ophthalmologist if my eyes were so dry. It has been over a year and Dr. Kim had a zoom call with me and suggested things like inserting heavy eye gel, massaging the lids, and even taping the lids shut at night.

None of those worked. Due to this, my vision has worsened and I am constantly needing eye drops. I cannot sleep more than 4-5 hours as the pain from dry eyes wakes me up. As the result of the procedure performed by Dr. SK, I suffer from painful, dry eyes every day. I am reminded daily how much I regret getting this procedure done by SK. Before the procedure, I have never had dry eyes nor needed eye drops to lubricate my eyes.

His COSMETIC mistake: He cut the lines of the lids 2 cm PAST the corners of my eyes.one side has an upturned angle and the skin now puckers around it. They are uneven nevertheless. Several weeks post-op, SK said Botox will take care of this. So he administered Botox.it did not work. SK later said he can revise it by cutting 2 cm longer than it already is (he said this in-person during one of our follow ups). Later, when I emailed him about it (after our zoom call), he never responded.

I am told by my friends and family that even after over a year, my eyes do not look natural.rather it looks as if I got a "bad eye-lid job". Since he does not answer calls during the day, the staff told me to email him with medical questions. He did not respond to my last 3 emails. To me, I took this as if SK made these medical and cosmetic errors but did not want to correct his mistakes.and just ignore them.

This was my experience with Dr. Steve Kim (SK Plastic Surgery). I know there are many that are happy with his work and many that are not. I am beyond upset with the results and will be reminded daily what a horrible experience this whole thing was due to the cosmetic and medical error Dr. Steve Kim made on my eyelids.

Dr kim always listen to the patients solve the problem! If you want to get anything done you should go to his office, you won't regret!

Professional. Excellent bedside manner. Perfectionist. After many years of contemplating surgery for my eyelids, I finally worked up the nerve to look into it. Dr. Kim is truly the best. I am someone who is not typically comfortable in a medical setting and have very bad anxiety around getting anything done on my face. Dr. Kim always makes me feel at ease and is very good at keeping you calm and distracted while doing injections. He cares about your comfort and pain tolerance. Ive been going to him for almost 3 years for filler and Botox. I'm a Caucasian and don't want to look overly injected and he does a great job at keeping my face look natural but still youthful. He will never over inject you. Highly highly recommend! I don't trust anyone else.

I love coming here and get my Botox done. The service is great! I also really appreciate the doctor taking his time to make sure the job is done properly. He's a perfectionist, I wouldn't want anyone to touch my face besides him ( who by the way has both an MD and PhD!). Why wouldn't you want to get your Botox done by a board certified plastic surgeon? I highly recommend SK!

I come here every couple of months for my regular Botox injections. It's easy to make an appointment and they're always prompt with time. Since COVID, they've implemented safety protocols and I'm so grateful they're open! The doctor and front desk staff have always been friendly and I recommend this place to all my friends.

Been coming here for botox for my jaw from grinding it at night while sleeping which has helped tremendously. Super nice staff, free parking down the street in the tennis lot. It's been 6 weeks post op for my upper bleph procedure and I am very satisfied with the result! My friends are so excited to schedule their appointment with Dr. Kim cause his work is exceptional. I actually had my surgery with SK 5 years ago. I had revision nose surgery and revision eyelid surgery. Had both of these done long ago after graduating from college. Never really liked the results of either, wasn't pretty but wasn't ugly, just so-so. I am very happy with the results of my revision surgeries. Dr Kim is one of the best asian plastic surgeons in Los Angeles.
