I visited about five plastic surgeons over the past year to find someone who could repair the disfigurement caused by another plastic surgeon during the aftermath of an unsuccessful revised eyebrow lift. In the course of meeting these plastic surgeons, the same reconstructive surgeon's name was mentioned time and time again: Dr. Dufresne. "Consult with Dr. Dufresne." They were right. Dr. Dufresne is a consummate surgeon--professional, reassuring, skillful, knowledgeable, thorough.

From the moment that I met him, I felt that I could trust him. He answered my questions patiently. He was always receptive to answering any additional questions that I might have. He exceeds expectations. For example, during the first stage of my surgery, he discovered an infection. He took the initiative to treat it, although it was not part of the original surgical plan.

My recent surgery, stage two, with Dr. Dufresne was a complete success! Now, after three years and three surgeries performed by less competent surgeons who could not restore my appearance, I finally look like a normal person again. I am truly grateful to Dr. Dufresne for everything that he has done. I want to add that Anita, the Dr. Dufresne's nurse and assistant, was always friendly and helpful to me, inspiring confidence.

She goes about her patient-centered duties carefully, always putting my comfort first. Thank you, Anita! Chris, the office manager, and Anastasia, the receptionist, were first rate, too. They did whatever it took to please me. They understood my needs and fulfilled my requests quickly. They treated me well. Shout out to Maggie! Although I never met her, she was always pleasant to me over the telephone when confirming my appointments.

Dr. Dufresne is my hero. My first encounter was for a Natural Face lift which looks awesome. I had a botched breast reconstruction from a previous plastic surgeons and I decided to have Dr. Dufresne do the surgery. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1988 and have had numerous revisions over the years. No one has been able execute the revisions like Dr. Dufresne and now my breasts look natural for the first time.

I love that Dr. Dufresne explains exactly what he is going to do and set my expectations and he is really patient. After having seen the work of many plastic surgeons I highly recommend Dr. Dufresne. You are going to love him.

In 2017, Dr. Dufresne performed my rhinoplasty with septoplasty. I was left with a poor result with a significant dorsal hump. A year later Dr. Dufresne charged me for a revision rhinoplasty with the intention of removing the hump. I ended up with a "polly beak, " the dorsal hump remained, my tip was extremely over rotated and unacceptably shortened.

After two years my nose began collasping internally obstructing my airway. My nose was ruined, I was devastated! I spent many months consulting with top surgeons on the East and West coast, some turned me away due to the severity. I was fortunate to find an esteemed surgeon in Chicago specializing in botched rhinoplasty correction. After enduring a six hour complex surgery requiring multiple grafts, my nose was sucessfully rebuilt.

It wasn't until after the surgery I learned the extent of the damage Dr. Dufresne inflicted on my nose. In the end, Dr. Dufresne's deficiencies cost me over $36,000 to correct. I do not recommend Dr. Dufresne for rhinoplasty/septoplasty.

I was referred to Dr. Dufresne for a vascular malformation that I had in my lip. Not only was he super knowledgeable on vascular malformations (he's written papers on the subject that are very informative), but he also was very caring and explained the procedure to me so that I could understand what I'd be going through. From our first consultation and through the surgery, I knew that I was in good hands, and never once did I feel nervous about the procedure.

I am now three weeks post surgery, and I will say, I am completely impressed with the outcome of the surgery! Even when my face was swollen right after the surgery, I could already tell that he had done an exceptional job on my lip. I highly recommend Dr. Dufresne for any work that you are looking to get done. Him and his entire staff have changed my life with this surgery, and I can smile again because of their work!

My wife has been going to Craig Dufresne for over 20 years and after the initial surgical process of getting her "refreshed" he has handled everything from periodic Botox and Voluma to fixing the tear of the ear lobe. What has consistently impressed me is not only his skill as a plastic surgeon but his integrity and forthrightness. He does not create unrealistic expectations or undertake procedures she come up with when he thinks they are unnecessary.

Both my wife and I seek Craig's advice on medical matters even when it has little to do with his practice. Finally I would like to add a word about his staff. They are most helpful and friendly staff we have encountered in any medical practice.

I've gone to Dr. Dufresne for various procedures during the last 25 years. Most relatively minor tweaks. Dr. Dufresne is very conservative in his approach to cosmetic plastic surgery so you don't ever have to feel that you will come out looking like a freak. His bedside manner is great. He listens and then makes recommendations and is never pushing a new product or surgery that you really don't need. I am surprised to see the negative reviews because I think that he is great.

Dr Dufresne and his entire staff are very approachable and made me feel comfortable. After finding out that I had a basal cell skin cancer on my face he was the doctor I called. Dr. Dufresne had performed a scar revision on my face years ago and the outcome from nothing less than perfection. Even though I live in another state now there was never a question in my mind on what doctor would perform my surgery.

His front office staff (Maggie) patiently directed me what to submit to Dr. Dufresne for his review and recommendation. One day following my email to the office I received a personal phone call from Dr. Dufresne who explained the procedure and was happy to answer all my questions which really eased my anxiety. The surgery and recovery was a lot better than I originally anticipated.

I had minimal bruising and little pain. Once again his work was perfection. Dr. Dufresne is truly an artist and I would recommend him to anyone that is considering surgery. If you want it done right the first time, talk to Dr. Dufresne. You will not regret it.

I've gone to Dr. Dufresne for several years for different procedures. I find him to be a very skilled and kind doctor. One of the things that I like best about him is that he is somewhat conservative in his approach, so that any procedure is going to look very natural. He's one of the best.

He is a craniofacial expert who is highly educated, trained and expieranced. I give him my highest recommendation, without reservation.

Dr. Dufresne was attentive to my input and wishes throughout the process and helped me define a conservative plan that I was comfortable with. My experience with Craig Dufresne is the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. There isn't a close second. I cannot warn people enough to stay away from Dr. Dufresne, for the reasons discussed below. I visited Dr. Dufresne to get fillers in my nasal folds. It seemed simple and straightforward enough. However, Dr. Dufresne injected filler into one of my veins, which restricted blood from flowing freely to my skin cells.

This causes "necrosis, " which results in the death of your skin cells. Essentially, your skin cells rot at an alarming speed. Necrosis is extremely serious and needs to be treated immediately. It is also extremely avoidable, and it should not occur at the hands of an experienced injector. The next day I returned to Dr. Dufresne so that he could fix my situation.

By that time, it was very clear that something was extremely wrong and I was experiencing many side effects of necrosis. The areas around my nose and cheeks were very inflamed, swollen and red, and the inside of my nose was so bloody, I was forced to breathe out of my mouth. I was also in extreme pain. Dr. Dufresne refused to help me. He looked at me for a moment, told me that the swelling would go down, and that there was nothing he could do.

He was so nonchalant about the situation. No apology. No attempt to help. Nothing. To be clear, there are certain procedures and protocols that doctors are supposed to follow when necrosis occurs. Yet, Dr. Dufresne did nothing. The next day, I ended up in the emergency room, where a doctor was able to help me. Mind you by that point, the doctor couldn't see into my nose at all because of the extreme amounts of blood.

Among other things, he gave me prescriptions to fight what was now a serious infection and monitored my progress to make sure things didn't get worse. He was absolutely floored by the fact that Dr. Dufresne did absolutely nothing to help remedy my situation. I was lucky to receive the care I did at the emergency room because things could have (and would have) become a lot worse.

When you visit a doctor, you typically have to trust them to use their expertise to help you and guide you. Clearly Dr. Dufresne led me astray. Doctors are human, and they make mistakes. When they make a mistake, you expect them to try to remedy the situation. That was so far from the case with Dr. Dufresne. He caused my medical issue and acted with such callous disregard when I returned to him in my vulnerable state.

I cannot warn people enough to stay away from Dr. Dufresne. He is a callous, narcissistic man who does not care about the wellbeing of his patients. My hope is that this review prevents other people from going through a comparably horrific experience with Dr. Dufresne.

This review is for a breast augmentation and follow-up care in 2017 by Dr Christopher Chang and Dr Dufresne- The pictures show the breast implant dehiscing (closure opening with breast implant exposure) 2 weeks after surgery - Dr Dufresne resutured the opened breast tissue with implant exposure in his office knowing I was leaving on vacation the following day where the breast reopened when I was out of the country on a cruise. Needless to say the resulting poor outcome and pressure ulcers from him "bolstering" the breast. I endured a terribly long recovery time before I had to undergo another surgery by a more competent surgeon. BEWARE of this duo!

Dr. Dufresne is a very skilled physician. He is also very compassionate & caring. His office staff is very nice. I have recommended Dr. Dufresne to a number of my friends who have also been very pleased. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I came to dr dufresne 2 1/2 years ago to get a scar revision on my upper lip from an accident I had when I was younger and needless to say he butchered my upper lip and now I've come to the conclusion that I need to see another doctor to fix his mistake now I'm 10 times more self-conscious about this new stare that I paid for so I recommend u don't go to this so call Dr. cause you might regret it

This an updated review of the microneedle and I had done at dr. Dufresne with Anna the esthetician it's been a nightmare my face is so disfigured I don't know what went wrong but it is so bad the whole contouring is changed and I don't look like anything like me I did go back and see doctor dufresne and anna but nothing they didn't say anything they couldn't help me ever since I've been to 3 plastic surgeons and they all said the same thing that dr. Dufresne should be the one to fix it and they were very surprised that he didn't offer any suggestions for surgery because dr. Dufresne is known for fixing disfigured faces but like one plastic surgeon said the reason why he can't admit it because he would have to admit that his employee Anna screwed my face up

Very happy with my facial! Anna did my facial, she is very knowledgeable and professional! She used only high quality products and techniques, that after our session I couldn't recognize my skin! All the imperfections were gone! Highly recommend this place and will definitely come again

Dr Chang is the best! I have had Botox and lip fillers. I am very satisfied with my results AND got a lot of compliments after my lip fillers. I appreciate that he knows what he is doing and his time to discuss my concerns before the injections.

I meet dr. dufrense in april 1990.at johns hopkins with dr. carson and the team for children with cranial facial birth defects.i had just had my first and only child miranda (ran) on dec.2, 1989.instead of being totally on cloud 9 with my baby girl i was scared to death.wondering why how what did i do wrong.why my child.why.what can we do what do you do.life is cruel but now it just got crueler.i had been told that miranda had frontial nausal dysplasia squence.could not even pronounce it, still can't spell it. didn't know what or why.told slang cleft face but could be fixed.dr, carson told us that god only gives us what we can handle.i was praying he was right.but at 4 months old miranda under went her first surgery and the longest day of my life.dr. carson and the team went in he corrected her skull and then for over 10 hours.t was all dr. dufrense.and til this day it's still dr. dufrense.he has changed our lives.he has always been there for miranda.and once again he will be ther for another surgery june 16, 2016.how do you ever say enough thank yous to for not only changing or saving but giving you that feeling that no matter what god gives you.you only gives you what you can handle.and angels that will be there for you. Love, Love, Love, Dr. Dufresne! He has performed all of my mom's elective cosmetic surgeries in the past and the out outcome of each of her surgeries were nothing but perfect. He has taken care of my family and I for over 20 years. In these 20 years that we have been going to him we have not one bad thing to say about him and or his staff.

I met with Dr. Christopher Chang today for Botox. I am extremely pleased! The staff went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and we discussed other options as well other than Botox. No pressure sales at all! I also had a mini facial with their esthetician and it was a very pleasurable experience that I can't wait to return.

Please do not get tricked into any promotional deals with this office. I always wanted microdermabrasion and my boyfriend did a sweet thing and bought me a Living Social certificate for their microdermabrasion service. Upon redeeming it, I found out you could only use the Virginia office - which is way out the way. They also had very few appointments and all their appointments were during the work day anyway.

No weekend or later appointments. I tried time and time again to schedule something. Since I work full time and had no days off yet, and they kept not having any available appointments anyway - I could not go. I finally have some time off and wanted to make an appointment. However, the voucher was valid for only 3 months - never experienced that with LivingSocial.

So I could only use the amount that he actually paid - basically no deal that he purchased, just their regular price. So basically he bought the deal for nothing. I don't drive and will have to Metro over an hour out the way, just to not waste the money he gave - though no deal. What a rip-off. Never get a voucher for these guys.

With a feigned demeanor of consideration, I found Dr Dufresne to be narrow minded, intractable and definitely NOT accommodating of this multi-ethnic client. He made assumptions concerning my results based on assumptions that had NOTHING to do with my total health history even though I had information from other doctors. I was hoping to get help with a congenital facial deformity. What I received was a cold shoulder and equally insular and caustic experience with his office minions. What an utter waste of time!

After hearing raves about Dr Dufresne, I booked my first ever juvederm appt. The nurse that got me situated, said he was very "conservative" in his approach. I guess conservative means "you look no different AFTER juvederm". I had 2 areas that I wanted done and the areas LOOKED NO DIFFERENT afterwards. I called the office to let them know I was unhappy.

The nurse, Kelly, spoke to Dr. D. She said there was nothing he could do except give me $100 off the price. REALLY? As a first time client, I expected this to be corrected. I feel I was treated poorly. Go somewhere else. I am not weatthy and it took time to save my money for this. I feel taken.

Due to a severe automobile accident, I suffered innumerable injuries to my body, including extensive facial trauma, resulting in obliteration of my forehead, sinuses, nose, cheeks, & both orbits. Throughout this lengthy healing, and reconstructive process, he has provided me with unmatched, continued care, and restoration of my face. His experienced office staff, & nurses, have always been considerate and patient in all aspects of this deeply challenging process.

I love Dr Dufresne! I have Botox done at his office in Fairfax. Best dr I have every had. Staff is super nice and the office is chic.
