Brandi the patient coordinator and Dr Lapuerta exceeded all my expectations. I have worked in Medical sales 13 years and you don't get this type of professionalism very often in many offices. They took time to answer any and all questions and made me feel very comfortable. I would't go any other place. I will refer all friends and family members here going forward.

I had a 1:30 P.M. appointment at the Katy office which I had booked 3 months in advance. I arrived at the office one half hour early so that I would have enough time to fill out any needed paperwork as a first time patient I assumed they would need my medical history Ect. as most normal doctor offices do with first time patients. I went to the receptionist window and asked her if I needed to fill out any paperwork.
She told me that she did not have anything to do with that. Really? I thought that she was the receptionist apparently she just sits at the window and does nothing. I then asked another woman in the office the same question and she had no info for me either and walked away. So I sat and waited it was now 1:45 P.M 15 mins passed my appointment time, still no acknowledgement of me, so I asked the lady at the window what was the problem, still no anwser from the space cadet receptionist.
So again I sat in the waiting room another 15 mins. again I go to the window. Space cadet receptionist then informs me my appointment has been cancelled! Really. I am sitting in this office for one hour and am told by space cadet receptionist my appointment was cancelled while I am physically sitting in the waiting room! I asked what the hell is going on?
Oh we called you yesterday and could not verify your insurance so we cancelled your appointment!? I never received a call space cadet HAD PUT MY PHONE NUMBER IN THIER COMPUTER WRONG! so of course I never received a call! So I am sure space cadet probably got the numbers wrong on my insurance card as well. But this is the clincher when I made the appointment the first thing they asked for over the phone was did I have a credit card, I said yes and gave them information on my credit card.
Any normal thinking person would have said if for some reason we can not verify your insurance do you have another form of payment which I did. Well there was no apology or gee we are so sorry about this mixup. Space cadet basically blamed me the patient for her screwup. Then receptionist space cadet tells me that it will be another month before I can get in to see the Doctor!( I had already waited three months for today's appointment that space cadet told me was cancelled).
I will look elsewhere for a plastic surgeon that has a professionally run office, and knows how to verify insurance and acknowledges the patient sitting in the waiting room. Funny how my dermatologist at Katy Dermatology who is in the building right next door to this office has no problem with greeting patients or verifying my insurance. This is the most bizarre unprofessional experience I have ever had in my entire life in a doctors office. I am the " new" patient who had a 1:30 P.M. appt scheduled for 11/13/2020 that was flipped off by your office. I will remove this post if and when I get an apology.

Dr. Lapuerta and staff are wonderful. They made me feel like a person not just another patient. From the very first consultation to the last appointment they were great. All my questions were answered and they were truthful about my concerns. Dr. Lapuerta was very honest with me in regards to how I wanted my procedure done. I took his advise and have no regrets. Dr. Lapuerta and his staff give excellent patient care. I am so very please with the results of my abdominal revision/ belt lipectomy. My husband is also very happy with the results. Could not have picked a better doctor! Decided to get a tummy tuck and being my first procedure, I was very nervous. Despite this, Dr. Lapuerta and his staff were able to inform my husband and I of the entire procedure without difficulty, and we were treated with the utmost respect from beginning to end. Dr. Leo and the entire staff were very responsible and attentive during all post-op appointments. I will definitely be back for any future procedures!
