Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that can result in scars in certain susceptible people. Some people with severe cystic acne who have not had it treated properly or quickly enough will develop scars. Other people are just unfortunate and can have minor acne that eventuates in scars. Still others have minor acne that they picked on damaging their skin which caused scars.

Skin that has not been protected from the sun can develop uneven pigmentation. Deposits of melanin can develop which appear as brown spots on the face, chest neck, back or even the tops of the hands. Freckles have also been called brown spots and can be treated as well. These can be called age spots, sun spots or liver spots but medically they are known as solar lentigines. It is important to have your brown spots checked by a board-certified dermatologist. Most of these brown spots are benign and are not dangerous.

I've been seeing Dr Jaliman for more than 20 years. She saved my life after she noticed a small ( tiny!) mole that turned out to be a melanoma. As the years have gone by I've included Botox and some fillers in my repertoire! I trust her implicitly and she is of the "less is more" school. To top it off. she's incredibly kind.

This review is longggg over due. I went to Dr. Jaliman for Adult Acne. I was at a stage in my life where my face started breaking out and with every pimple it left a horrible blemish. I am a mom of 3 in my late 30's and this happened after my 3rd baby. I could not figure out what caused the breakouts and horrible acne. I was getting so insecure with going anywhere without wearing makeup which I hated.
I wanted to be able to run out to my sons games on the weekends without having a face full of makeup. Dr. Jaliman was recommended to me by a friend who spoke highly of her. From the minute I met with Dr. Jaliman I felt a sense of comfort and that she actually cared. She went over everything with me to see what could possibly cause these breakouts, from my diet, to birth control to what makeup I use and what ingredients are in the makeup.
She came up with a plan for my face and I stuck to everything she recommended and it's now 8 months and I cannot believe the improvement with my skin. I love this place. I finally was able to get back to NYC to have my follow up treatment after a successful procedure with Dr. Jaliman (which went very well with Gosia, I hope I'm spelling that correctly). Also, since I've recently moved to Miami and now am outdoors much more to garden, I had questions about my increased skin care and sun protection needs.
Everyone in the office is polite, helpful and professional. They answered all my questions adequately (I'm all about ingredient effectiveness, mechanisms of action, sustainability and looking for products that don't irritate me or smell like chemicals) and let me test the products in the office (even letting me take a handheld mirror outdoors to test the tinted sunscreen in real daylight) and I'm actually excited to use my new tinted sunblock, Sea Radiance eye gel and Aza Clear cream with niacinamide (which fades spots).

Great doctor and helpful staff! I was very pleased with my experience and rarely take the time to write a review. i had dark discoloration under my eyes and had been to multiple doctors with no success. Dr Jaliman took the time to explain the products and use of special sunscreen and the laser treatment which was done by her staff. I had to use so much concealer in the past and now i barely use any. Highly recommend.

I suffered with terrible acne and acne scarring for years in my adulthood. I saw many doctors and was prescribed many protocols of oral and topical medications. After visiting Dr. Jaliman, I knew I was in good hands after my first appointment. In fact I was in the best hands. Not only did Dr. Jaliman clear my skin up, But she was able to remove 90% of the scarring from my acne that was mostly self-inflicted from picking on my skin.
I refer everyone I know to her. Her office staff is lovely and Gosia takes care of all of the laser procedures for me and I absolutely adore her. She is very skilled and I can't thank her enough for all that she's done for me. My skin has never looked better!

As an MD teaching the new Drs all the newest medical information at a leading NYC teaching hospital, Mt. Sinai, I originally suffered from malignant melanoma, from which I was the victim of surgery and a large scar on my leg from another dermatologist telling me it was "nothing." However, with Dr Jaliman any malignant melanoma that has reared its ugly head ( and very small) she has caught, excised and sent for a biopsy ASAP.
She has a special eye and is not an alarmist. Dr Jaliman is compassionate with her patients. I definitely feel that I owe my life many times over to this extremely dedicated health professional. Since my initial life saving visit, I have stayed with Dr Jaliman, as I value my longevity. Having used her services cosmetically, myself and others are consistently impressed with the results.

I started going to her practice about 3 years ago, after seeing her segment on Primetime 20/20 about acne and new treatments on the market. Dr Jaliman is the best! I had an amazing and painless experience. The results exceeding my expectations! Don't think about going anywhere else for cool sculpting in NYC. Dr, Jamliman and her staff are highly skilled, knowledgeable personable and professional. Weronika and Dr Jamiman made me feel extremely comfortable with the entire process and went above and beyond to explain everything step by step so I wasn't left wondering.
I'd like to also mention unlike other offices I've been too, this office is immaculate and the room you sit in has flat screen TV and comfortable bed to lay in during procedure. Overall, this was a terrific experience and I love the results! Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jaliman's for several years. I have come to her for both cosmetic and dermatologic issues that I have experienced with my skin. I have never been in such qualified hands! I went from having no acne to cystic acne in my 40s Unfortunately left me with scarring. I saw several dermatologist's in the city who prescribed a multitude of both oral and topical medications that did nothing for me.
I am so grateful that I found Dr. Jaliman. She not only cleared up my Acne her technician Gosia started a laser protocol that got rid of my scarring. I am thrilled with my skin now. I highly recommend her. The staff is lovely and accommodating. She's really the best!

Dr. Jaliman and her team are beyond awesome. For any type of laser tattoo removal( especially something delicate) I STRONGLY recommend Dr. Jaliman. Firstly, she brings the nuances, layers, and expertise of an experienced physician. Many other " laser tattoo removal experts" are no where close to her. A night and day difference. Do not try to do things on the cheap( as I did before Dr. Jaliman). You will regret it. Her staff are superb and the doctor has amazing follow up. Now I will be going back to her for my skin. AWESOME

I highly recommend Dr. Jaliman for both Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. I originally sought Dr. Jaliman's help for severe rosacea. I had seen two other dermatologists, who had failed to clear up my condition. Dr. Jaliman was able to completely handle it and clear up my skin. This is because she uses the most current techniques, both topical and laser, to address rosacea.

Do not go to Debra Jaliman stay clear of her office. I went and had filler placed in my face the filler went away I was left with a big lump under my eye. She refused to see me refused to help me and even refused to simply give me advice as to what to do. She kicked me to the curb. Let me also mention that when I told her how bad that area of my face was not only did she refuse to see me she also hung up the phone on me very unprofessional! Do not go if you want things to go well find someone else. Also if you're allergic to dogs don't go she has her dog in the office almost every day.

My husband, son & I have been going to Dr. Jaliman for over 10 years. I give Dr. Jaliman the highest recommendation for both Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Jaliman does our regular body scans for melanoma and has caught our early stage squamous and basel cell cancers. My experience with Dr. Jaliman has been excellent. She is an outstanding doctor who really cares about you. I have Rosacea and it was truly driving me crazy. She started me on soolantra/ ivermectin and Azaclear and my skin has never been better. I did not even want to open the door for receiving packages without a full face of makeup but thanks to her I don't need make up anymore.
My skin has never been better and I even get complimented on my complexion. When I tell people I have Rosacea they won't even believe me. I am so so happy. Being a resident I am incredibly time restricted but Dr. Jaliman is always available via E-Mail and answers within minutes regarding any question you might have. I feel very taken care of. I love Dr. Jaliman. I got her name off an old episode of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (because she treated Yaya DaCosta for acne). I am an actress, and a few years after I graduated college I developed adult acne. I would find myself crying over it some days I was so frustrated by my appearance. And in my line of work, appearance is everything. Well, after using the topical meds that Dr. Jaliman gave me, my skin cleared up in a month, and I've been acne free since.

When I entered the office, I was impressed how nice it looked! The front desk staff was helpful and polite. I only waited a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Jaliman along with her assistants were informative, friendly and very professional. I was a bit nervous after i heard about recent skin cancer found in people of all ages but Dr. Jaliman explained in detail how to protect my skin and prevent any future sun damage making me feel more ad ease about my skin = Dr. Jaliman definitely knows her stuff, my skin has never looked this good, not only did she take her time in explaining all the new procedures, she also gave me alternatives that best fit my budget, Which I Loved Most! Its a well run practice and very efficient. What a great team! Highly Recommended!

I went during Spa Week when they were doing $50 laser treatments for the bikini line. Now, I understand that it was Spa Week so they were probably busier than usual, but no one was in the waiting room with me so there was no need to rush my appointment. I was not consulted on my hair and skin type, which I thought was a crucial aspect of laser treatments (to avoid scarring/discoloration). The tech didn't really look to see where the hair was growing as well, and just went around the outside of the area (not checking for strays, etc.) I understand that, with Spa Week, there were limits on the treatment, but there is no excuse for laziness.
