Antonia Kofinas, MD is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Kofinas specializes in diagnosing, treating and preventing disorders of the skin, hair, and nails. The NYC dermatologist is fluent in Greek and English. After graduating magna cum laude from the highly selective Seven-Year B.A./M.D. program at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science in Washington, D.C., Dr. Kofinas returned to her native New York where she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Northshore/LIJ Medical Center.

Dr. Hellman is an amazing doctor. I have been a patient of hers for several years and I have done various treatments with her, including laser hair removal and Morpheus8. Laser hair removal was highly effective for me and I have very minimal hair regrowth. I had an excellent experience with Morpheus8 and noticed immediate improvements such as faded acne scars and tighter skin.
Most importantly to me, the appearance of my pores is greatly diminished and my skin texture is much smoother. Dr. Hellman is a perfectionist. I never feel rushed and I'm always confident that she is doing the best possible work. Karen is helpful, kind, and pleasant. She is patient and a good listener who is attentive to details. I visited Dr. Hellman a year ago for the first time. I found her on Zocdoc app with good recommendations. Dr. Hellman is one of the special ones. She's very friendly, gentle and professional. She diagnosed my situation immediately and explained the possible ways of treatments. My skin problem was something that, according to her and other sources, takes a few years to overcome.
After 6 months (!) only of consistent treatment, I noticed a dramatic change, and few more months I was completely healed. During all this time, Dr. Hellman's team was so helpful and friendly, really one of a kind. I would like to add that during all of the treatments, Dr. Hellman always kept me posted with my options, gave me full report of where things may go and was completely clear mentioning to me which options covered through my insurance and which require personal funding. If there's any doubt - Very much recommended.

My visit to the office was a great experience. My wait time was an average of 10-15 minutes. The staff was very respectful and they were great company while waiting. The office was very well organized and clean with background music. The view in the patient room is spectacular overlooking Central Park. Dr Hellman is an ease. She took her time out to exam me and took the time to thoroughly explain and answer all my questions. I did not feel rushed, at all! My overall experience was a fairly good and definetly would recommend to my family and friends.

I had a bad case of acne that started when I was in my teens and ended a couple of months ago (I'm 26). She used a PDL laser in 5 treatments, once a month, in which she went over my face with the device and used it to treat the cause of these pimples. It did not hurt and I did not have any bruises the next day after treatment. She is very gentle and down to earth doctor, and I felt very comfortable in her office. Now my face are almost completely acne free, and I'm using a skincare regimen she customized for me to keep the skin from getting oily. Highly recommend.
