Services
Thank you again for visiting our practice in Plano, Texas. Based upon Dr. Verret's experience and the experience of many other facial plastic surgeons, we have put together some guidelines for you to use around the time of your procedure. In the Before the Procedure section, you will notice some useful information regarding medications to be aware of, getting prepared for surgery, and what you can eat before surgery. In our After the Procedure area, we have put together some helpful tips about what to expect from surgery and guides for after procedure activities.
Stop clear liquid intake at least 4 hours before surgery. Examples of clear liquids include, but are not limited to, water, fruit juices without pulp, carbonated beverages, clear tea, and black coffee. Coffee with milk, creamer, or any other additive is considered a solid food, not a clear liquid. These liquids should not include alcohol.
Certain over the counter medications can effect the ability of the body to form blood clots and stop bleeding. The following list is some of over the counter medications which are known to cause an increase in bleeding tendencies and should be avoided two weeks before and two weeks after surgery. This is not a comprehensive list as most over the counter medications have not been tested for their effects on bleeding or photosensitivity. If you have any questions about medications you are taking, please talk with Dr. Verret.
There will be a mild to moderate amount of pain and discomfort associated with the blepharoplasty (eyelid) surgery. This should be easily controlled with oral medications. Tylenol with codeine (or equivalent if allergy to codeine exists) is generally sufficient for pain control. The discomfort and pain should begin to decrease within 48 hours after surgery and a significant increase in pain after this period should prompt you to call the office.

I have use Dr Verrett several times for reconstruction from basil cell cancer on my nose, lip and cheek. The experience I would describe as wonderful to have such care and concern from Dr Verret and staff! His work is phenomenal with very little effects visually. So grateful for the services he provides.

Had procedure done with Dr. Verret, several years ago. Looked for the info to refer my friend to him. Very surprised to see negative feedback. Can't say anything bad about him. No surprises, smooth recovery. Came in for post up with my little son, and asked Dr about stye on his eye, and was basically given a consult on the spot not to worry about it. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience with Dr Verret. He's patient, confident and I appreciate his honesty. He removed a pregnancy related tumor on my chin and did a really good job. I will definitely go back to him if the need arises. Veronica is also amazing! Highly recommended.

Pompous a$$. Those are the two words that best describe him. I paged him after my stitches started coming undone one day after the surgery. He was annoyed that I paged him and then went on to tell me that I was wrong and his stitching couldn't possibly have come undone. My husband later told me that one of his nurses trimmed the ends of the stitching (it was poking me in my eyeball as I was coming out of anesthesia) and likely cut the knot in the process.

But rather than talk to me as a human being and learning more about the situation, he was more concerned about telling me I was wrong and he was right. I REFUSE to go back. Do yourself a favor and find someone who shows empathy and concern for his patients as human beings. This guy lives up to the stereotype as surgeons with a God complex.

I deeply regret visiting Dr Verret's office and having him treat two acne scars by injecting cortisone over three years ago. I have suffered fat atrophy on the right side of my face ever since. If you are considering him for treatment I urge you to reconsider.

Do not use Innovations FPS. Dr Verret is knowledgeable but his incompetent staff will make your life a nightmare. I had an appointment with Dr Verret in the Coppell office where they under-collected my copay. When they sent the first bill they had it marked overdue, the first time they contacted me. I paid that day. Now 2 months later I get a collections notice for non-payment.

I supplied "jaspen" in his billing department with the cancelled online billpay with their companies endorsement that they took payment. "jaspen" still refuses to close the collection despite none of this being my fault. They undercharged by $15, billed late, then couldn't keep track of the payment. Now I have a collection agency trying to collect the $15 plus penalty. Even when provided with indisputable proof that their office received payment they refuse to fix their mistake. AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOU VALUE YOUR CREDIT.

Dr. Verret and my wife agreed on a price for her mole removal. He was paid for his work. When insurance didn't pay him as much for the procedure as he wanted, he then charged us extra instead. When we disputed he sent the charges to 2 separate collection agencies. Stay far far away from this crook.

As far as Dr. Verret's skill as a surgeon the results have been very good. Two procedures with him back up this observation. I wish I could say the same for his attitude and that of his office staff. They were incredibly rude, difficult to work with and downright offensive. When I politely brought to his attention the problems with his staff, he never apologized or took responsibility.

These behaviors happened not once but twice over different issues. I just can't understand why they are so incredibly difficult to work with.and we're his own patients! I've never met a doctor who was more condescending and rude. I will not go back to him nor would I ever recommend him under any circumstances.

I was surprised to read some of these reviews. I thought the staff was wonderful and Dr. Verret, brilliant. He listens and addresses the issues that bother you. does not push procedures on you, in fact, is reluctant to discuss procedures he feels you really don't need. An example, I wanted to discuss a face lift. to accomplish what I was wanted we decided Laser Resurfacing would do the trick. He will make a lot less money on the laser. I really like him and find his "bedside manner" wonderful, caring and attentive.

Dr Verret reconstructed an area on my nose where a cancer had been removed. He is great to work with and very knowledgeable. He was patient to explain to me what he was going to do and the results I should expect. His bedside manner was professional and caring.

The doctor has poor bedside manner and the office staff is rude. I was charged for an office visit that happened because he failed to finish a procedure correctly the first time--and because it took so long to get back in (the office kept rescheduling) the tissue had healed over the sutures that he neglected to remove and the only way to fix the problem was to reinjure the area and do the surgery again.

The office staff and Dr. Verret were unwilling to work with me on this issue and said that if I didn't pay the bill then they would send it to collections, regardless of whose fault it was.

Dr. Verret fixed a hole after my mother had a skin cancer removed. I am amazed because you can't even see the scars. He is truly an artist.

Dr. Verret was honest with me about obtaining a facelift too early and current plastic medical practices. He saved me close to 20K and was clear about expectations of plastic surgery prior to significant aging. Less is more. I did have a laser procedure done to remove age spots and it was worked out great. This procedure was done over a year ago. I will return to Dr. V for the eyelift in a year or two. I compared him to three other MDs in Dallas and felt that he was down to earth and clear about results.

I had consultations with a few other Plano plastic surgeons before deciding that Dr Verret was who I was going to trust with my facial surgery, and did plenty of research online as well. One of the main reasons I decided to book with him was that his practice is solely focused on the face and neck. So glad I chose him! He really took the time to explain things beforehand, did impeccable work on the day of surgery, and gave such supportive care at followup visits afterwards. I am now 4 weeks post-op and thrilled with my results. Thanks Dr Verret.

Wow! Dr. DJ Verret helped me so much in enhancing my natural features and boosting my confidence. During my initial office visit, Dr. Verret spent an hour answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. (I was really dreading that upcoming 20 year reunion!) He removed a mole on my face that I was self conscious about (no scar!), resurfaced the texture of my skin, and got rid of those unsightly acne scars.

He has also repaired my torn earlobe (too many heavy earrings), and made those wrinkles disappear with some fillers just in time for that reunion! This doctor is truly a face expert! I'll be back in a few years when I need that facelift!
