Breast reduction (or reduction mammoplasty) is a surgical procedure performed to remove excess breast tissue from heavy, sagging breasts. The goal of breast reduction surgery is to relieve a variety of physical conditions resulting from the large breast size including back, neck, or shoulder pain caused by the weight of the breasts, skin irritation beneath the breasts, indentations in the shoulders caused by tight or pulling bra straps, and destruction of physical activity due to the size and weight of the breasts.
Many men feel self-conscious about extra fat and tissue located in their chest area. Fortunately, this condition (known as Gynecomastia) can be treated with a procedure sometimes referred to as "male breast reduction." Two variations of this procedure may be used, depending on your needs. If fat, skin, and glandular tissue need to be removed, the procedure will be done using a scalpel or scalpel-liposuction approach. For this procedure the incision can usually be placed discreetly in the underarm area or around the areola (the dark area surrounding the nipple).
While sticking to a healthy diet and a regular exercise regimen are the best ways to lose weight, many people just can't seem to get rid of fat pockets and cells from problem areas. This is particularly true for the legs, buttocks, hips, stomach, arms, chin, and neck. Liposuction can make the body look more sculpted and toned, thereby increasing one's body image and level of self-assurance.

In 2008 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my Surgeon recommended that I see Dr. Stephen Harris. I found the staff to be friendly and very accommodating. Joann, Dr. Harris's Office Manager dealt with the Insurance Company for me and handled all the complicated paperwork. She was a Godsend. Dr. Harris was wonderful. He is easy to talk to and takes all the time you need to answer the 100 questions you have.
I was a little nervous because my operation was scheduled for the end of June & my daughter was getting married at the beginning of August. Dr. Harris promised to have me up & well and looking beautiful in my "Mother of the Bride" gown. He fulfilled his promise and I've been back to see him every year since the Wedding for my annual checkup. You will not find a more compassionate, friendly Surgeon than Dr. Stephen Harris.
