I had the best experience with Dr. David Refermat! I was referred to him by my dermatologist and he was able to take care of a small cyst on my shoulder right away. He was very friendly and made me laugh throughout the procedure. The other nurses and office staff were great too! Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Doctor Refermat deserves way more than 5 stars! He was the first doctor to show me any bit of compassion for my situation. I've had a "funny feeling" in my finger on my left hand for a couple of years. but in January it escalated quickly to a mind boggling shooting pain that did not go away at all. When I came to the office he proved to me that he cared within the first minute of meeting.
I instantly felt at ease. He did everything he could to figure out what was wrong with me. Soon after, he took out two tumors from under my fingernail. Doctor Refermat was quick and the most caring healthcare professional I have ever met. I hope he and the office knows how thankful I am. You guys changed my life!

This was a great experience from the very beginning with the office staff and nurses & Doctor Refermat, Very pleasant. The first meeting with David H. Refermat, he told me exactly what needed to be done and addressed any concerns in advance so I didn't have any questions. I had the procedure done earlier today and it all went so smooth. I had bad experiences with him I had skin infection on back of my right ear I had seen him few times in his office he had little did clean up infection but never cured last time he told me that sorry he send me another doctor which was done surgery but results my right ear never be same because of his fault top of my ear never stays straight up I can't wear mask easily because of damaged on my ear

Dr. Refermat performed endoscopic carpal tunnel release on my left hand. I work quite a lot with a computer keyboard and mouse, so my job is not one of heavy lifting or squeezing. With that being said, I was able to return to work the very next day. I took only Advil and two weeks later, the teeny incisions are healing on my wrist. The relief from the numbness and tingling was immediate and I could not be happier.

I was referred to Dr. Pennino by my primary to be seen for a large mass under my arm. I was seen in the office by the nurse and a P.A who both were very nice. The P. A did an exam and explained that I had a lipoma, a benign tumor composed of tatty tissue. She explained the surgery and was very sympathetic. I did not see Dr. Pennino but the P. A. said she would see him and speak with him about my case.
Several hours later I received a call from her telling me that the doctor felt my BMI was to high for surgery due to risk factors connected to anesthesia. I was shocked by this rational because I am someone who has recently, as of this year under gone a knee revision surgery, spinal surgery.

I had a tummy tuck done by Dr. Refermat about a week and a half ago, and my results are amazing beyond what I could have expected. Dr. Refermat made me feel very comfortable before my procedure, and has been very attentive during my recovery. I plan on having more work in the near future and I am happy to say I will be returning to Dr. refermat and the plastic surgery group of Rochester for everything I need
