Allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nose) and sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses) can cause significant symptoms that patients can find very bothersome. In addition to the history and physical examination, Drs. Ruggiero and Herrero may use a combination of sinonasal endoscopy and an in-office CT scanner to diagnose sinonasal diseases.
There are many diseases that affect both the voice and the swallowing mechanism. Some patients may notice a weak, raspy, or breathy sounding voice while other may have difficulty swallowing. These diseases can be as simple as acid reflux causing irritation and inflammation of the vocal cords or as serious as a cancer growing on the voice box.

Unbelievable, I had a deviated septum for close to 10 years and kept putting this surgery off. I am here to tell you don't. Get it done ASAP I can't explain the feeling of being able to breathe through your nose clearly for the first time since I can remember. Dr Ruggiero took great care of me and did a fantastic job repairing my nose. I didn't bleed very much at all and had virtually no pain. My nose did tickle until I got my splints removed but totally worth it. Thank You Dr. Ruggiero for improving my quality of life.

Great experience with Dr. Ruggiero. He knows what he is talking about and is a very nice person. The staff at the office is also very accommodating and kind. Dr. Ruggiero was able to correct the shortcomings of other ENTs that I had the misfortune of seeing before him. I highly recommend this doctor.

I do not believe Dr. Ruggiero listen to his patients, and the front office could use improvements. Went three times with ear loss in right ear, and white goo in ear. The hearing aid specialist told me the first time I went there I had an infection. Dr. Ruggiero cleaned my ear 3 weeks in a row, until I insisted, he send a swab to the lab. Sure enough I had a staff infection.
Could have sent swab the first time. Then I get blood in my snot and requested an MRI, but was told it was not necessary, Hello. Dr. does not listen to symptoms and obvious clues. went the last time, found out 2 patients set for 11 am apt. and only one Dr. Of course the other went first, waited 45 minutes past my apt. never got to see dr. and LEFT my blood pressure was thru the roof. Will never go back to this Dr.

My visit to Dr. Ruggiero was excellent. It was my first time meeting him. He listened closely to my complaints and his examination was very comprehensive. Afterwards he took his time to explain his findings and made extensive recommendations for my treatment. His "bedside manner" was excellent. It has been a long time since I had a Doctor spend so much quality time with me during an examination.

Dr. Ruggiero is a nice provider, however, his office staff they are horrible, well not all. Tiffany is very understanding, but the two other ladies who were working today, 5/9/19 need retraining on how to be compassionate and understanding. I finally understand why patients can leave a great provider because of poor treatment and rudeness from the office staff. Highly disappointed today!

I have been seeing Dr. Ruggiero for a couple years now. Each time I have seen him he seems to be genuinely concerned about my well being. He is also very thorough, even though he is frequently in high demand. He explained what what wrong with my sinuses in detail, ordered the correct test to confirm it, and explained how the surgery would help. At one point I made a comment about my hearing and he gave me a hearing test during the same appointment to verify it was not being caused by a secondary source.
At times he can be brief, however it is understandable because of his high demand. I would rather have a Dr that is short and straight to the point and is good, the a Dr. who is long winded and is not very competent. Over all I recommend Dr. Ruggiero for your ENT needs, and have to others who have had a good experience with him. He is also a Navy Vet, thank you for your service.
